Come and join me for a needle felt workshop with a little of my signature mixed media textiles thrown into the mix! Make your own mouse on a plinth with a heart and adorable little sign.
This class is to make your own needle felt mouse which can be adorned with a heart and little printed sign with your choice of wording.
There is a lot of needle felting involved and some mixed media tricks to create a really unique piece.
In this class you will create a simple wire armature and use a range of needle felting techniques to add elements to you piece.
The finished mouse will be approximately 14cm in height and will then stand on a wooden plinth (or if you would like to bring your own plinth for the mouse to stand on you may – it will need to be suitable to drill into!).
I will provide everything you need to make the mouse, if you have not needle felted before it does not matter, I will talk you through the process step by step. All abilities are welcome and even the most experienced needle felter will I’m sure enjoy the day! You will end the day with a complete mouse, however you are welcome to take home your needle, pad and any wool required for refining.
These little mice have been a favourite of mine for many years and make a wonderful project all year round. You can easily add details to your mouse to suit the seasons or celebrations!
This class is for an in person workshop and is NOT a a PDF or online workshop – The studio is in Groby, Leicestershire UK and full address details will be provided on booking.
As with all my workshops they are designed to be relaxing and fun, we sit together around a large table working step by step, there are moments of quiet concentration but also lots of chatting and socialising. The art/craft community are a wonderful supportive bunch and we always have a lovely time.
refreshments and nibbles are provided and you are welcome to bring your own lunch. There is a local coffee shop, deli and Co-op approximately 5 minutes walk away
